Teamwork is important when it comes to The Sebastian Artistic Team. Behind their inspiration of 2008 is the 1960’s bobs, hard-lines, texture, disconnection and silhouettes. The vision has lots of roundness, geometric shapes, asymmetry, sensuality, audaciousness and is touchable. The team was not at liberty to talk about the big upcoming project, but they did talk about the lovely models that let them do things to their hair: like colouring, cutting, and using Wella products. The tone-on-tone looks were created by choosing the element you want to stand out, for example, that means choosing two or three levels higher for colour contrast. This season every haircut has something a little bit different, like the checkerboard effect, where there are three techniques used in one cut. Being educated by the creative directors has definitely been beneficial.

A picture is worth a thousand looks. Most clients come in with a picture of the hairstyle they want. The stylists are trained to break it down for you, and find out the element of the picture that you really want for your cut.
Goals:
To create the newest trends from a global perspective through hairstyles
To bring trends to the public
The Four Trends:
Wonderland is childlike with texture and colours like blondes and copper. You can incorporate into it the babylike fringe, says Paul.
Couture Allure is tailor-made and very architecturally pleasing. It’s luxurious shapes are fitted to the head and customized to the shape of your head creatively adding metallic cool colours (often three or more) to give a tone-on-tone feel.
Beauty is inspired by the 1960’s, a fitted to the head disconnection look made up by black, dark and smoky colours for the spring/summer attitude.
Mineral Splendor changes with the seasons.
*All cuts come from the artist, but it is the personalities that give you the finishes. Stylists offer the feel of the trends, encompassing the cut, volume and colour dependent upon the season and the individual. Not one size fits all, therefore, it’s all about adaptability, versatility and working with the elements.
