Hailing from Essensuals Salon in Vancouver, Canada, Jesse Minty joined the Sebastian Professional 7-member stylist team for Spring/Summer 2010 Fashion Week in New York City for three shows in just three days. Jesse was selected as the sole stylist to represent Canada, and represent he did as he showcased his unique talent on three very different beauty looks that consistently dazzled the designers, show attendees and media.

Led by Sebastian Professional Stylist Design Team Member and fashion week lead stylist, Thomas Dunkin, Jesse and the other five stylists – picked from select Sebastian flagship salons across the US – worked fast and furiously backstage, churning out masterfully created hairstyles on model after model. For the Michael Angel show on Sept. 10, the stylists crafted sleek, chic ponytails that complemented Michael’s energy-packed, color-rich and cool designs in his spring collection. On Sept. 11, the Sebastian team fashioned a beauty look that was a seamless combination of elegance, youthfulness, natural beauty and romance for the Costello Tagliapietra show. Putting a modern twist on a ‘40s style staple, the stylists created slightly asymmetrical faux bobs that were all about texture and shine. Wrapping up the fashion week experience on Sept. 12, the Sebastian stylists developed a Grecian-inspired, perfectly imperfect updo that featured a modern twist on structured braids at the Diego Binetti show. The asymmetrical pattern and haphazard positioning of the braids echoed the unique individualism and carefree youth inspired by Binetti’s spring collection.
