August 2010, New York – On Sunday, August 1st, thirteen women who succeeded in battling cancer experienced glamorous red carpet treatment at “Celebrating the Beauty of Life: Star Styling for Cancer Survivors.”  Organized by salon owner and celeb stylist Adrian De Berardinis, in collaboration with John Theurer Cancer Center (JTCC) at Hackensack University Medical Center in New Jersey and NYC’s Gilda’s Club,  the women were treated to: cuts and color by Adrian De Berardinis and his team; makeup applications by recognized makeup artists Lauren Cosenza assisted by Mariel Fuchs, and Viktorija Bowers, who has been featured in Brides and Seventeen; a photography session with Katie Fischer, a photographer who has shot for Elle; jewelry styling by Jamie Wolf; and manicures by CND nail professionals Kris Kiss and Claudine Morgan.

“We’ve been through the biggest fear, and it’s nice to be recognized for that,” says JTCC cancer survivor and event participant Lisa Bruchalski.

“I am honored to provide a luxurious day of beauty that’s all about these strong, hopeful women and not about ‘the cancer,’” says Adrian.

After a day of pampering, each woman received a Hollywood-worthy swag bag filled with products worth over $500 as acknowledgment for their infinite courage.  By the end of the day, these women looked and felt like a million bucks.
